We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager VP to drive the strategy, architecture, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale digital solutions across web, mobile, and API platforms. This leadership role combines deep technical expertise with strong people management capabilities to build high-performing teams, accelerate innovation, and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, React Native, Microservices, REST APIs, Cloud Technologies, DevOps practices, and AI-assisted Software Development (SDD).

To be successful as an Engineering Manager VP , you should have experience with:

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade web, mobile, and API solutions.

• Drive end-to-end delivery using Java, Spring Boot, React Native, REST APIs, Microservices, and Distributed Systems Architecture.

• Provide technical leadership across UI, backend services, integrations, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.

• Champion API-first, cloud-native, event-driven, and scalable architecture patterns.

• Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Devops practices, automated testing, and release management processes.

• Ensure application performance, security, reliability, observability, and operational resilience.

• Drive adoption of enterprise monitoring and observability solutions including Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and similar platforms.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams to deliver innovative customer-focused solutions.

AI, Automation & Software-Driven Development (SDD)

• Drive adoption of AI-powered Software Development (SDD) methodologies to accelerate application design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment.

• Leverage modern AI engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or equivalent platforms to improve engineering productivity and delivery outcomes.

• Lead initiatives focused on engineering automation, code generation, test automation, documentation automation, and developer experience enhancement.

• Establish best practices for secure and responsible adoption of AI within software engineering lifecycles.

• Promote AI governance, data protection, prompt engineering, and risk controls for enterprise AI adoption.

Engineering Excellence & Innovation

• Promote best practices in software engineering, architecture, code quality, security, and performance optimization.

• Drive modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that improve business agility and engineering efficiency.

• Create a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Purpose of the role

To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.

Accountabilities

• Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.
• Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
• Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
• Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
• Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
