Job Description

• Lead the supply-side backend engineering charter. Build and scale systems powering supplier integrations, inventory, pricing, availability, and booking reliability.
• Drive architecture, technical strategy, and execution for high-scale distributed systems with direct business impact.
• Hire, mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams while fostering strong engineering culture and ownership.
• Partner closely with Product, Data, and Business teams to improve marketplace efficiency, scalability, and supplier experience.

The Successful Applicant

• 8-10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role managing engineering teams.
• Strong system design and architecture expertise with deep hands‑on experience in backend (and/or full-stack) development for scalable applications.
• Proven track record of building and operating distributed systems, micro‑services architectures, and high-performance backend platforms.
• Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to connect engineering execution with product and business outcomes, ensuring technical decisions drive measurable impact.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in stakeholder management, cross‑functional collaboration, and mentoring engineers in a high-performance culture.
• Prior experience in consumer‑tech or marketplace‑driven products is highly valued, especially in fast‑paced, high‑scale environments.
