Engineering Manager – SaaS Onboarding and Reliability
As an Engineering Manager (SRE) in our SaaS division, you will lead one or more Site Reliability Engineering teams within a Product Area. These teams ensure high availability, performance, and operational excellence across our Azure-hosted SaaS platforms, supporting both onboarding and running client environments. You will focus on creating an environment where engineers can thrive, deliver reliably, and continuously improve our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead 1–2 teams of SREs responsible for Azure-based infrastructure and client platform operations
- Partner with Product Owners and other stakeholders to align SRE capabilities with product outcomes
- Act as a people manager, responsible for hiring, performance development, 1:1s, and career growth
- Guide teams through both short‑term delivery cycles (sprints) and long‑term infrastructure evolution
- Foster a healthy, inclusive, and productive engineering culture
- Support your teams in resolving technical challenges, collaborating on system design and automation
- Promote security best practices, reliability goals (SLOs/SLIs), and cross‑team consistency
- Partner with other engineering managers and tech leads to define and deliver shared platform capabilities
- Champion operational excellence by setting and tracking relevant SRE metrics and KPIs
- Serve as a servant leader, enabling your team’s success and coaching for growth
Qualifications
- You are an engineer at heart, focused on enabling others to deliver operational excellence
- You bring 2–4 years of leadership experience and build followership
- You are fluent in core SRE practices (monitoring, automation, CI/CD, incident response, IaC)
- You have experience working in or managing teams using Microsoft Azure
- You’re familiar with ITIL processes, especially incident and problem management
- You know what “good” looks like and are comfortable with incremental progress over perfection
