Job summary

Blackstraw Technologies is seeking experienced lead Python engineers to guide a team of developers and drive large-scale projects with deep SDLC expertise and strong collaboration across functions.

You will provide technical leadership, establish coding standards for Python, mentor juniors, and build scalable backend services and APIs for enterprise systems, while aligning with product and design teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Python (and Java) for web development.
• Expert in Django, Flask, FastAPI web frameworks.
• Strong HTML/CSS skills; knowledge of JS frameworks like Vue.js, Angular, Ember.
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
• Deployment: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Cloud tools: Azure ML, Azure Databricks.
• Caching/Queues: Redis, RabbitMQ, AzureQueue.

Job Summary:

We are looking for skilled lead python engineers to lead a team of developers. You will be responsible for technical leadership in the area of work and streamline product development.

You will be responsible to drive large scale projects with deep understanding of SDLC, high collaboration and leadership.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project design, development and deployment.
• Providing technical leadership in your area of work.
• Streamlining processes and developing work schedules for the engineering team to build highly scalable products.
• Expertise in building scalable solutions, application performance tuning, debugging and troubleshooting complex issues and identifying problem root cause.
• Setup the design/coding standards for Python technologies
• Managing and mentoring a team of junior engineers, delegating tasks, explaining requirements and monitoring progress to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Build backend services and APIs to create scalable engineering systems
• Exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application
• Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally with product and design partners

Preferred Qualifications:

• Should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in - Python 8+, Java
• Expert in Web Frameworks - Django, Flask, Fastapi
• Expert in Front end - HTML, CSS
• Good Understanding of Js Frameworks - Vue js, Angular, Ember, etc..
• Good Understanding of Databases - Mysql, Postgresql, Mongo ,ElasticSearch
• Deep Knowledge of Deployment - Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
• Deep Knowledge of Cloud tools - Azure ml , Azure Databricks
• Deep Knowledge of Caching & Queue - Redis, RabbitMQ, AzureQueue
• Knowledge of MLOPS - Tensorflow, pytorch
• Knowledge of Cloud - Azure

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Tech/MCA/CS with typically 10 years of experience, 8+ years in bringing to life web applications, mobile applications, and machine learning frameworks for building an end-to-end solution and final product delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Should have sound judgment & decision-making skills, and the ability to work under

deadline pressure.

• Deep knowledge of MongoDB, Redis, MySQL.
• Take ownership of model deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of event-based systems using Kafka, SQS or RabbitMQ
• Should have good knowledge of JIRA, bitbucket and Team-city (for continuous integration and deployment) tools.
• Strong Software Architecture capability.
• Good Analytical Skills and Problem Solving Ability.Strong grasp of Core Python Concepts.
• A deep hunger to Create Scalable Technology Products.
• Strong Leadership Ability and Training Experience.
• Ability to think clearly, in-depth, and troubleshoot any sudden problem
• Ability to oversee risk before project escalation, solving of complex issues
