Qualifications

• 10+ years in firmware or embedded-systems, incl. 3+ years in engineering leadership.
• Strong technical depth in embedded C/C++, RTOS, diagnostics, and embedded architecture.
• Experience delivering firmware across design, integration, verification, release, sustaining, and production support.
• Hands-on in design/code reviews, debugging, root-cause analysis, and problem solving.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management, and modern firmware practices.
• Strong execution, people leadership, global collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.

The Engineering Manager – Firmware Engineering will lead a team delivering firmware across sustaining engineering, product enhancements, production support, qualification, and new product development. Provide hands‑on technical leadership in embedded firmware, real‑time systems, controls, communications, and diagnostics. Own team priorities, resources, commitments, risks, and delivery. Drive architecture, design and code reviews, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and technical decisions. Strengthen requirements, code quality, verification, configuration, release, and defect‑prevention practices. Expand CI/CD, test automation, regression automation, and approved AI‑assisted development. Partner with global teams on execution, qualification, production issues, and product delivery. Coach engineers, develop technical leads, and build capability, ownership, and succession.

Skills You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of firmware or embedded‑systems experience, including 3+ years of engineering leadership.
• Strong technical depth in embedded C/C++, real‑time systems, processors, communications, diagnostics, and embedded architecture.
• Experience delivering firmware through design, integration, verification, release, sustaining, and production support.
• Hands‑on experience with design and code reviews, debugging, root‑cause analysis, and technical problem solving.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management, and modern firmware‑development practices.
• Strong execution, people leadership, global collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in semiconductor equipment, instrumentation, controls, power systems, industrial automation, or similar complex products.
• Experience with RTOS‑based systems, embedded Linux, industrial communications, high‑reliability products, or hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Experience using automation and AI‑assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity and quality.
