Eaton is seeking a senior Electrical Engineering leader to drive a large multi-discipline team responsible for Panelboard and Switchboard product lines. You will oversee engineering excellence, maintain high OTD and quality, and push for productivity through automation and digital tools.

The role requires deep ETO knowledge, strong command of design platforms, and experience applying Lean, Agile, and Six Sigma methodologies to deliver robust engineering solutions in a manufacturing setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams in ETO.
• Minimum 5 years as people manager/Team lead/Acting leader for ETO/Application engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of ETO, Customer Order Engineering, and low-voltage power distribution processes.
• Strong knowledge of UL, ANSI, NEMA, NEC codes and standards for panel/ switchgear.
• Hands-on experience with Electrical/Mechanical design platforms (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Inventor, Enovia).
• Experience applying Lean, Agile, DFSS, DMAIC, CI methodologies to improve quality, productivity and cycle time.

What you’ll do:Engineering Operations Leadership• Lead and manage a team of approximately 70 engineers, designers, technical leads, and engineering specialists supporting ETO and Application Engineering activities for Panelboard and Switchboard product lines.• Ensure seamless execution of customer orders while achieving On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction objectives.• Drive engineering excellence through standardization, process discipline, and first-time-right engineering practices.• Drive significant productivity improvements through process automation, digital tools, workflow simplification, standardization, and waste elimination initiatives.• Lead implementation of engineering productivity programs leveraging Lean, Agile, DMAIC and Continuous Improvement methodologies.• Champion automation and digital transformation initiatives to improve engineering cycle time, quality, and operational efficiency.• Collaborate with external engineering service providers and Offshore Development Centers (ODCs) to develop and execute outsourcing strategies.• Establish scalable engineering delivery models that balance cost, quality, responsiveness, and technical capability.• Ensure strong governance, quality management, and performance monitoring of third-party engineering partners.• Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and Customer Support teams.Technical Leadership• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for complex engineering projects, customer applications, and technical issue resolution.• Guide teams in developing robust engineering solutions that meet customer requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities.• Support engineering teams in resolving project execution challenges and technical roadblocks.Engineering Systems & ToolsTalent & Organizational DevelopmentStrategic Business LeadershipQualifications:Bachelors/Masters in Electrical engineering or equivalent15+ years of hands-on experience in Managing multi discipline team such as Electro mechanical team in ETO. Minimum 5 years as people manager/Team lead/Acting leader for any ETO / Application engineering / Requisition Engineering.Skills:Extensive knowledge of Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Customer Order Engineering, and Application Engineering processes for low-voltage power distribution products.Deep understanding of Panelboards, Switchboards, MCCs, Switchgear, Bus Systems, and Power Distribution Solutions, including customer applications, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.Strong knowledge of UL, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and applicable electrical codes and standards governing panelboard and switchboard products.Hands-on experience with Electrical and Mechanical Design Platforms including AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Inventor, Enovia, and related engineering systems.Proven expertise in design automation, engineering workflow optimization, product configuration, and digital engineering transformation initiatives.Strong understanding of electrical system architecture, protection schemes, control circuits, wiring practices, busbar design, and electromechanical integrations.Knowledge of Eaton's Panelboard and Switchboard portfolio, competitor products, market trends, and smart power management solutions.Experience applying Lean, Agile, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), DMAIC, and Continuous Improvement methodologies to improve engineering quality, productivity, and cycle time.Green Belt or Black Belt certification with demonstrated success in driving process excellence and operational improvements.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, testing requirements, quality systems, and product lifecycle management within an ETO environment.\"Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff in global environment, Influencing, Drive for Result
