Job summary

First American (India) is seeking an Engineering Manager for Security Architecture to lead the Security Architecture team, drive high-quality security reviews, and oversee risk evaluations and IPT reviews. The role partners with business, engineering and security stakeholders to identify gaps and drive continuous process improvements.

The ideal candidate will define standards, mentor the team, manage workloads, and communicate metrics to leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational risk

Job Summary

Role: Engineering Manager for Security Architecture

Role Expectations:

• Lead and mentor the Security Architecture team, ensuring consistent, high-quality security reviews and risk assessments.
• Provide oversight and governance for security risk evaluations, including waivers, exceptions, and IPT reviews, ensuring alignment with organizational risk tolerance.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex security architecture decisions, review blockers, and stakeholder conflicts.
• Partner with business, engineering, and security stakeholders to identify and remediate process gaps, driving continuous improvement in security review processes.
• Establish review priorities, balance team workload, and allocate resources based on business impact and security risk.
• Define, maintain, and enforce security architecture standards, review methodologies, and governance practices.
• Develop team capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Track and communicate key metrics related to security reviews, risk trends, and operational effectiveness to leadership.
