Job summary

Hilton in India is seeking a skilled professional to manage Plant & Maintenance operations in the hotel. The role involves ensuring smooth running of DG sets, HVAC, water supply and general maintenance systems.

You will supervise and deploy staff, conduct on‑the‑job training, and monitor performance while keeping the Chief Engineer informed of breakdowns and unusual events. You will coordinate with other departments, visit departments to execute engineering tasks, inspect equipment, and

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Plant & Maintenance operations in the hotel
• Smooth running of D.G. Sets, A/c Systems, Water Supply System and General Maintenance System.
• Controlling and deputing staff as per the situation and requirements.
• Optimum utilization of available manpower including assigning duties, on the job training and performance evaluation.
• Keep the Chief Engineer informed of all the activities including Breakdowns, fire & unusual events etc.
• Shift operation of all services & plants
• Assist staff to carry out their jobs.
• Liaison with other department in carrying out the aboveduties and assist other department whereever necessary.
• Visit other departments for executing Engineering Tasks
• Regular Inspection of all Plant& Machinery
• Control all the staff and co-ordinate with other departments.
• Indenting/approving quality of engineering materials.
• Carry out duties as specified by Chief Engineer from time to time.
• Supports and initiate programs for the improvement procedures and the reduction of energy and utility costs
• Analyses and monitors energy costs and expenditures for the department.
• Maintains an equipment and machinery recordsystem for the property
• Recommends to the Assistant Chief Engineer, new policies and procedures for a more economical operation and maintenance program
• Interacts and cooperates with Hotel guests and outside contractors as directed by his superior
• Assists tradesmen with maintenance and repair when required
• Conducts shiftbriefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known.
