Job description

Responsibilities

• Deliver highway engineering designs and construction drawings for UK-based projects in line with DMRB and relevant UK standards.
• Undertake geometric design, including horizontal and vertical alignments, junctions, and corridor modelling.
• Design elements such as road geometry, pavement layouts, drainage strategies, signage and road markings.
• Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications to a high standard.
• Collaborate effectively with multi‑disciplinary teams (drainage, structures, utilities, etc.) to develop integrated design solutions.
• Liaise with UK project stakeholders to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
• Manage and deliver multiple projects/work packages simultaneously.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, QA processes, and Health & Safety policies.
• Proactively identify risks, constraints and design challenges, and propose practical solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting team capability development.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in UK or international highway design standards (DMRB, TSRGD, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience in highway geometric design, junction and corridor design, and pavement and drainage coordination.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX, PDS/KeyLAB, AutoCAD.
• Experience with ProjectWise is desirable.
• Good understanding of multi‑disciplinary coordination and design integration.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
