Job description
Responsibilities
Deliver highway engineering designs and construction drawings for UK-based projects in line with DMRB and relevant UK standards.
Undertake geometric design, including horizontal and vertical alignments, junctions, and corridor modelling.
Design elements such as road geometry, pavement layouts, drainage strategies, signage and road markings.
Prepare technical drawings, reports, and specifications to a high standard.
Collaborate effectively with multi‑disciplinary teams (drainage, structures, utilities, etc.) to develop integrated design solutions.
Liaise with UK project stakeholders to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
Manage and deliver multiple projects/work packages simultaneously.
Ensure compliance with design standards, QA processes, and Health & Safety policies.
Proactively identify risks, constraints and design challenges, and propose practical solutions.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting team capability development.
Qualifications
Strong experience in UK or international highway design standards (DMRB, TSRGD, etc.).
Hands‑on experience in highway geometric design, junction and corridor design, and pavement and drainage coordination.
Proficiency in design tools such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX, PDS/KeyLAB, AutoCAD.
Experience with ProjectWise is desirable.
Good understanding of multi‑disciplinary coordination and design integration.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
