Job summary

Qualifications

Role & Responsibilities

Matrix Steel Solutions is hiring Engineer Trainees / Graduate Engineer Trainees / Diploma Engineer Trainees for our engineering and structural steel detailing team in Coimbatore.

We are looking for enthusiastic freshers and candidates with 01 year of experience who are interested in developing a career in engineering design, CAD, 3D modelling and structural steel detailing.

Selected candidates will receive training and will work on international engineering projects for clients in countries including Australia, USA, Canada and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and understand engineering, architectural and structural drawings.
• Develop 3D models using Tekla Structures after training.
• Prepare structural steel shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare erection / general arrangement drawings.
• Work on structural steel connections and detailing requirements.
• Coordinate drawings and models based on project specifications.
• Work with engineers, modellers, detailers and project managers.
• Check dimensions, levels, sections and engineering information.
• Learn international structural steel detailing and fabrication practices.
• Use software such as Tekla Structures and AutoCAD as part of the role.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Education:
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in:

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Production Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Industrial Engineering or related engineering disciplines

Experience: Freshers / 01 Year

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
• Good numerical and dimensional understanding.
• Interest in CAD, engineering design, detailing or 3D modelling.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good learning attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of an engineering team.
• Willingness to work from our Coimbatore office.

Tekla Structures experience is NOT mandatory. Training will be provided to selected candidates.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, engineering drawing, CAD, 3D modelling, structural engineering, manufacturing drawings or fabrication drawings will be an added advantage.
