Job summary

ReNew is seeking applications for a role focused on advancing cell and module technologies within its decarbonisation initiatives. The team works on evaluating ideas, materials, and processes to improve efficiency, sustainability and scale from lab to pilot and mass production.

Reporting to Senior Vice President - Technology, the role emphasizes collaboration with regulatory bodies and cross-functional teams to drive innovation and maintain high ethical standards in renewable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/ BTech in Energy Science and Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledgeable on cell and module performance and long-term reliability.
• Exposure to renewable energy policy and standards.
• Willing to learn new areas and initiate projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new ideas for cell, modules, battery, wafers and BOM for improvement
• Assess new materials and processes for cost saving, efficiency improvement, better throughput
• Evaluate new products and processes for improvement in sustainability
• Work with regulatory bodies like MNRE, NISE, WRI, TERI for upcoming standards and policy changes
• Support scale-up of lab innovations to pilot and mass production
• Assist with training programs and workshop organization

Educational Qualification & Desired Experience

• Basic understanding of cell and module technologies, BoM and their performance
• Must be willing to learn new areas and initiate and execute projects
