Job summary

Egis, Bengaluru, is seeking a Structural Engineer with 4+ years of steel-structure design experience to deliver safe, code-compliant solutions across commercial and industrial projects in the Middle East and India.

You will prepare calculations, drawings, and technical reports, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams while applying international codes (AISC, Eurocode, IS) and leveraging SAP2000/ETABS/STAAD.Pro.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years in steel-structure design.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design with safety/compliance focus.
• Skilled in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro; familiar with Idea Statica, RAM Connection, MathCad, Excel.

Job Description

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design of steel buildings from concept through detailed stages, ensuring safe, standards-compliant, and cost-effective solutions that align with architectural requirements. With a minimum of 4+ years of experience in steel structure design, the Structural Engineer will prepare accurate calculations and drawings, contribute to technical reports, and support project teams in delivering high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in structural software, a solid understanding of international codes, and hands‑on experience with steel materials, fabrication, and construction methods across diverse commercial and industrial projects, particularly in the Middle East and India.

• Proficient in structural analysis and design, ensuring safety, compliance, and integration with architectural requirements.
• Skilled in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, and familiar with connection design tools such as Idea Statica, RAM Connection, MathCad, and Excel.
• Knowledge of steel design codes and standards (AISC, Eurocode, Indian Standards) and relevant international/local regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to quality and safety.
• Experience preparing technical reports and project documentation for client submissions.
• Effective at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of liaising with multidisciplinary professionals and maintaining clear project records.
• Experience in commercial and industrial projects, especially in the Middle East and India.
• Knowledgeable in steel materials, fabrication, and construction methods.
