General Motors in India is seeking an Ergonomics Engineer to plan and deliver virtual ergonomic assessments for global vehicle programs. You will use 3D DHM tools to identify risks and propose design or process changes, interfacing with design, manufacturing and global engineering teams.
The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring on-time delivery.

This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office four times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
Plan, execute, and deliver ergonomic virtual assessments for new and major global vehicle programs across the GVDP cycle.
Use 3D Digital Human Modeling (DHM) tools and virtual assessments to identify ergonomic risks and recommend design or process changes.
Analyze assembly operations, interpret ergonomic standards and guidelines, and provide clear technical recommendations to cross-functional teams.
Act as a communication bridge between plant ergonomics and central/global engineering, bringing current plant concerns into upstream design.
Track ergonomic issues to closure, coordinating with design, manufacturing, and plant ergonomics teams.
Lead or support key ergonomics initiatives and projects to improve methods, standards, and tools.
Prepare concise written reports, presentations, and status updates on ergonomic studies.
Collaborate with compartment/manufacturing engineers and other stakeholders to ensure ergonomic requirements are implemented in manufacturing processes.
