Job summary

Motherson is seeking a CMM inspector/engineer to operate and program CMM equipment for dimensional inspection of components. You will interpret drawings and GD&T, prepare inspection reports, and maintain records.

The role involves MSA/GR&R studies and supporting PPAP/APQP and customer audits, with adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards. Be/ BTech degree holders with hands-on CMM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech degree is required.
• Knowledge of GD&T and geometric tolerances.
• Experience operating CMM equipment and interpreting drawings.
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and maintain records.
• Awareness of MSA/GR&R and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program CMM equipment for dimensional inspection of components.
• Perform first-piece inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and geometric tolerances.
• Prepare dimensional inspection reports and maintain measurement records.
• Develop and modify CMM programs from component drawings and inspection requirements.
• Analyze dimensional deviations and coordinate with Production and Quality for corrective actions.
• Conduct MSA and GR&R studies.
• Support PPAP, APQP, FMEA and customer audits, as applicable.
• Ensure calibration, verification, and proper handling of CMM equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis and support CAPA.
• Maintain inspection documentation in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements
