Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Engineer/Senior Engineer – IMS/CS Core to coordinate and troubleshoot high-level maintenance in Core Network domains. You will support complex technical issues beyond 1st level Operations, ensuring service continuity and adherence to processes like MSTOP.

Build and sustain CS Core/IMS/VoLTE expertise, document configurations, and collaborate with teams across functions to implement network enhancements and RCA-based improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Core Network operations and support, particularly IMS/VoLTE.
• Relevant IMS/VoLTE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform configuration changes, hardware expansions, and troubleshooting for CS Core Nodes and IMS Core Nodes.
• Ensure all actions follow approved operational processes (MSTOP).
• Conduct RCA and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution and network enhancements.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, issues, and resolutions.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Engineer/Senior Engineer – IMS/CS Core to join our team and lead the coordination, execution, and troubleshooting of high-level reactive maintenance activities in Core Network domains. You will be responsible for supporting complex technical issues beyond the scope of 1st level Operations, ensuring service continuity and adherence to processes like MSTOP.

What You Will Do

• Perform configuration changes, hardware expansions, and troubleshooting activities for:CS Core Nodes: MSC, MGW, HLR, HSS, STP, SBC,IMS Core Nodes: UDM (CUDB, HSS-FE, HLR-FE), P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, ATS, MGCF, MRFP, CG, ENUM, DRA, UPG.
• Ensure all actions follow approved and standardized operational processes (MSTOP)
• Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and prepare technical reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution and network enhancements
• Maintain documentation of configurations, issues, and resolutions.

You Will Bring

• Strong knowledge of telecom protocols including:
• SIP, H.248, SS7, ISUP, BICC, SIGTRAN, INAP, CAP, TCAP, MAP, SCCP, Diameter
• Deep understanding of: Call flows in CS Core,IMS / VoLTE architecture and operations
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IMS and legacy network issues.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Relevant 5+ years in Core Network operations and support, particularly IMS/VoLTE.
• Relevant certifications in IMS, VoLTE, or Network Operations (optional but preferred).
