Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Customer Engineering team. You will work on ARM architecture, Linux/Android/QNX drivers, and platform security features, triaging customer issues and supporting OEM platform customizations.

Responsibilities include debugging Linux/Android/QNX platforms, driver customization for Qualcomm ASICs, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering or related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years with a Master's degree in Engineering/CS or related field.
• 1+ year with a PhD in Engineering/CS or related field and software experience.
• 1+ year of programming in C, C++, Java, Python.
• 1+ year of debugging techniques.

General Summary:

Job Description We’re looking for a motivated engineer with 4 to 7years of experience to join our Customer Engineering team. This role involves working on ARM architecture, Linux/Android/QNX drivers and platform-level security features. The candidate will help triage customer-reported issues, customize OEM platforms, and support product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Debug and resolve issues on Linux/Android/QNX platforms (stability, functionality, customization).
• Customize SOC/security drivers for Qualcomm ASICs based on OEM needs.
• Work on ARM TrustZone, Hypervisor, and platform security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong debugging skills with ARM architecture and TrustZone. Knowedge and some hands on experience with AUTOSAR stack is desirable
• Experience with JTAG/T32, crash-dump analysis.
• Solid understanding of Linux/RTOS internals (scheduler, MMU/SMMU, IPCs, etc.
• Hands‑on experience with device drivers in embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Java/Python.
• Familiarity with Android security features and cryptographic algorithms(RSA/AES/ECC)
• Exposure to boot architectures (uBoot, Bootloader, UEFI).
• Experience with Android framework/service/driver development.
• Familiarity with QNX OS and QNX internals
• Experience with OpenSSL/Crypto drivers is a plus.
• Familiarity with development tools like GIT, P4, GERRIT.
• Exposure to crypto algorithms, AUTOSAR crypto requirement, Cybersecurity compliance ISO 21434 awareness

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
