Qualifications

• Proficiency in design software including Revit, AutoCAD, and HAP (Hourly Analysis Program).
• Strong knowledge of BIM/CAD standards and best practices.
• Solid understanding of public health engineering principles, water supply systems, sanitation design, and environmental health practices.
• Working knowledge of relevant health, safety, and building regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in technical report writing and data interpretation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary team environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop public health engineering systems, including water supply, sanitation, and environmental health infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed technical designs, calculations, specifications, and construction drawings using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project requirements, verify compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, contractors, and public health officials to ensure seamless project execution.
• Analyze technical data and project requirements to inform design decisions and solve complex engineering challenges.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Support project managers in coordinating timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in public health engineering.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing within the engineering team.
