Qualifications

• Proficient in pipe sizing for hot & cold water and fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical and peer reviews, contribute to design efforts.
• Manage and provide feedback on protocols used for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with the WSP Singapore Team regarding project progress.
• Identify potential risk issues and follow company processes.

Job description

The role involves raising the team's technical competence by fostering continuous learning and keeping skills aligned with the latest industry practices. This includes implementing robust delivery and quality measurement processes to ensure consistency and high standards in all projects. Additionally, the role promotes technical excellence by championing best practices, innovative solutions, and performance optimization to consistently achieve exceptional project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake technical reviews, peer reviews, checks and contribute to the design
• Provide continuous feedback to the Associate/ Principal Engineer Plumbing & Fire Protection on the effectiveness of the protocols and processes in place with a view to continuous improvement
• Develop positive professional relationship with the WSP Singapore Team, communicating openly about project progress
• Participate in Project meetings, team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP
• Identify and act on, or refer, potential risk issues and follow in full the company commercial and contracting processes
• Manage delegated tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and flag resourcing concerns to team leader
• Identify and flag additional fees to the Associate/ Principal Engineer Plumbing & fire Protection

Qualifications:

• BTech /B.E.(Civil/Environmental/Mechanical)
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in Plumbing & Fire Protection design experience for commercial and residential buildings for concept, schematic and detailed design stages
• Pipe sizing for hot & cold water and fire protection
• Preparation of Plumbing and Fire equipment
• Schedules for Pumps, pipes, valves, etc., and BOQs
• Preparation of layouts, schematics, sections, plant rooms hand mark ups
• ASHRAE and ISHRAE, ASPE, IPC, all NFPA Fire codes and standards.
