This critical role involves ensuring the precise design, manufacturing, and maintenance of pattern equipment for the production of complex SG iron components, minimizing defects and maximizing efficiency.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical training to the team on methoding concepts, PFMEA, and control plans. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizens, 5S, QMS practices) within the department.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with the production and inspection teams, tool manufacturers, and the engineering department to ensure seamless process flow from design to final casting.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 0 to 3 years of experience in a foundry pattern shop environment, with hands‑on experience in SG and Grey Iron casting processes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of foundry processes, casting methods, pattern allowances (shrinkage, machining, etc.), and core making.
  • Software Proficiency: Capable of using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX) for precise 3D modelling and potentially casting simulation software (e.g., MAGMASoft, ProCAST) to predict and eliminate shrinkage‑prone zones.
  • Attributes: Focused approach toward quality and process improvement, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently and lead a team.
