Weir Minerals (India) Private Limited in Bangalore is seeking an Engineer - Order Management to streamline order processing from booking to delivery. You will collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Stores and Finance to ensure accurate pricing, product availability, and timely fulfilment.

The role requires a mechanical/production background (or MBA in Order Management), hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred) and strong communication and Excel skills to drive performance metrics and

Responsibilities

• Manage third-party order execution from booking to delivery.
• Coordinate daily with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Stores & Finance.
• Track the entire order lifecycle and provide timely updates.
• Prepare reports on backlog, fulfillment, and performance metrics.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve changes.
• Occasional travel may be required.

What you’ll do

• Order Processing & Execution: Manage third-party order execution from booking in SAP through to delivery by coordinating with internal teams and external customers to ensure revenue conversion aligns with the revenue plan.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate daily with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Stores & Warehouse, and Finance teams to validate pricing, product availability, and resolve order-related issues or delays.
• Order Lifecycle Monitoring: Track and monitor the entire order lifecycle, including backlog and fulfillment status, providing timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and maintain accurate reports on order fulfillment, backlog, and performance metrics using advanced Excel skills to support decision-making and month-end audit activities.
• Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key communication bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams, ensuring clarity and prompt resolution of inquiries and modifications such as cancellations or returns.
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to support cross-functional coordination or customer engagement as needed.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Production, or MBA with specialization in Order Management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP; Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics knowledge is also relevant.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively liaise with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in order management or order processing roles.
• Experience in supply chain coordination and customer relationship management.
• Familiarity with reporting on backlog, fulfillment, and performance metrics.
• Ability to manage time effectively and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
