Weir Minerals (India) Private Limited in Bangalore is seeking an Engineer with 5–8 years of mechanical design experience to join our global mining technology team. You will design and model components using Siemens NX, create manufacturing drawings, and contribute to robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and BU engineering teams, perform design validation, review drawings, manage tasks to meet schedules, and occasionally travel to support production sites.

Formación

• 5–8 years of relevant mechanical design/engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens NX/UG NX for 3D and 2D modelling.
• Proficiency with Siemens Teamcenter for PLM and engineering workflows.
• Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Design and modelling: Create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings for Weir products and systems using Siemens NX.
• Engineering validation: Perform calculations and simulations to validate designs for robustness and manufacturability.
• Collaboration: Interact daily with manufacturing and BU engineering teams, documenting work clearly.
• Quality assurance: Review peers' drawings and provide constructive feedback to maintain standards.
• Project execution: Manage engineering tasks to deliver on time with quality and safety in mind.
• Travel: Occasional travel to manufacturing sites or other Weir locations as needed.
• Safety: Demonstrate commitment to zero harm and safety culture.

What you’ll do

Design & Modelling: Create detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and assemblies for Weir products and systems using Siemens NX, ensuring alignment with design requirements and industry standards. Engineering Validation: Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs, ensuring robustness and manufacturability. Collaboration & Communication: Interact daily with manufacturing and BU engineering teams to support product orders and system engineering, providing clear technical documentation and reporting. Quality Assurance: Review and quality-check drawings produced by peers, providing constructive feedback to maintain high standards. Project Execution: Independently manage engineering tasks to deliver projects on time, meeting quality and schedule commitments. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to manufacturing sites or other Weir locations to support engineering and production activities. What you’ll bring

• 5–8 years of relevant engineering experience in mechanical design, product engineering, or a similar engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens NX / UG NX for 3D and 2D modelling.
• Proficiency with Siemens Teamcenter for product lifecycle management.
• Good working knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including welding and fabrication.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with reverse scanning and reverse scan processing software.
• Background in heavy machinery or similar engineering/manufacturing industries.
• Exposure to castings and related manufacturing techniques.
