Job summary

Airbus in Bengaluru, Karnataka is seeking an experienced Engineer – Methods & Tools to work within a transverse team, applying Agile and Scrum methodologies. You will develop digital solutions for engineering problems, utilizing your programming expertise in Python and SQL.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of relevant experience and strong communication skills to handle multiple projects across teams. Additional experience in front-end technologies such as Angular or React is a plus.

Qualifications

• Overall experience of 4+ years in relevant field.
• Good understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with developing large-scale UI applications would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and synchronize with Product Owners, part of the same Agile Release Train.
• Deliver multiple projects across many teams.
• Analyze large features and implement practical solutions.

Skills

Engineer – Methods & Tools (Full Stack)

Methods & Tools is a transverse team working with different core engineering verticals in Airbus. The USP of this team is working in a multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems.

The team combines core engineering domain knowledge with software development skills, enabling various digitization initiatives across Airbus with the latest technologies.

Examples of our digital solutions include data‑driven designs of wiring, automated routing of electrical harnesses, data‑analytics products aimed at reducing physical tests of material specimens, web‑based solutions for flight test planning, and tools for electrical wiring harness and hydraulic circuit design process improvements. These tools support areas such as aircraft safety analysis, engineering business data monitoring, and more.

We apply Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies to develop state‑of‑the‑art digital products for these domains.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Knowledge of propulsion engineering basics
• Strong programming skills with Python
• Strong experience with SQL (Structured Query Language)
• Hands‑on experience with PySpark APIs
• Experience with front‑end technologies (Angular / React / JavaScript)
• Basic knowledge of DevOps (good to have)
• Strong communication skills to confidently deliver multiple projects across many teams
• Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and ability to analyze large features and implement practical solutions
• Good understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent debugging skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment that requires quick adoption of new techniques and out‑of‑the‑box thinking
