Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking an IT Solutions Engineer for Methods and Tools and DevOps to automate and maintain the M&S environment. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, containerized engineering software, and coordinating network infrastructure while supporting developers.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Proven DevOps experience in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Artifactory and SonarQube.
• Experience managing container environments (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift) on Linux.

Responsibilities

• Design and drive development of new IT solutions from spec to deployment and support.
• Implement and maintain DevOps pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) for automated testing and validation of models.
• Enforce and automate development standards (Python, Java, Maven) with unit, behavioral, and UI testing.
• Lead end-user onboarding and publish release documentation; establish WoW (Ways of Working).
• Provide input to the department's digital strategy and roadmaps for ModOps and automated pipelines.
• Support Digital Operations for the Environmental Control Systems domain; manage user permissions via myAccess and data governance.

Job Description:As an IT Solutions Engineer for Methods and Tools, and DevOps within the Airbus Engineering Environmental Control Systems Domain, you will play a crucial role in executing, automating, and maintaining the technical infrastructure that powers our Modelling & Simulation (M&S) environment. Working alongside Domain Business Owner, your focus will be on the concrete implementation of CI/CD pipelines, containerized engineering software, network infrastructure coordination, and daily developer support. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for technical engineering, robust scripting, and a hands-on approach to solving environment friction for developers.Key Responsibilities:Assess existing IT systems, methods, tools, and processes to identify improvements, customizing and integrating available Airbus IT solutions to align directly with the business ecosystem.Design and drive the development of new solutions from initial specification and activity definition through to development supervision, application support, bug tracking, and patching.Implement and maintain DevOps automation pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins) to support automated regression testing and validation workflows for systems engineering models.Enforce and automate development standards across the domain, including Python (PEP8), Java, and Maven, with a strong focus on building robust unit, behavioral, and UI testing frameworks.Lead end-user onboarding and the roll-out of developed solutions, establishing standardized "Ways of Working" (WoW) and publishing release documentation.Provide technical input to the long-term digital strategy of the department, executing technical roadmaps encompassing ModOps, development standards, and automated DevOps pipelines.Support Digital Operations for the Environmental Control Systems (1YV) domain, managing user permissions via myAccess, application compliance, data governance, product deployment.Desired skills and qualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fieldProven experience as an DevOps Engineer or in a similar infrastructure/tooling role within an enterprise environment.Expert hands-on knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Artifactory, SonarQube, and enterprise repository tracking.Practical experience managing diverse container environments, including Docker, Podman, Apptainer, OpenShift, or Kubernetes, running on enterprise Linux (RHEL) or cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).Solid understanding of enterprise networking protocols, including firewalls, DNS, network routing, and authentication/authorization frameworks.Strong proficiency in Python (PEP8 compliance) and Java, with a focus on automated testing frameworks (Unit testing, Behavioral testing, and UI testing) to streamline software deployment.Prior experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), with a practical understanding of digital delivery cycles, PI Planning, and cross-functional collaboration.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.Hands-on mentality when it comes to the actual implementation of the proposed solutionExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.English: FluentThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.Company:Airbus India Private LimitedEmployment Type:Permanent-Experience Level:ProfessionalJob Family:Digital By submitting your CV or application you are consenting to Airbus using and storing information about you for monitoring purposes relating to your application or future employment.
