Job summary

Arabelle Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on Low Pressure Turbine Modules. You will design and adapt steam turbine components and support their manufacturing and assembly in a fast-growing environment.

You should hold an engineering degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, with 2–3 years of design experience, and be proficient in Catia V5, reading drawings, and FMEA; English fluency is essential for collaboration across sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in a mechanical design environment (energy, oil & gas, aerospace or special‑purpose machinery).
• Proficiency with Catia V5, reading technical drawings and FMEA.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, casting, forging, turning, milling.
• Familiarity with material selection and standard components (plates, tubes, bolts, flanges).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the application of internal design rules for components.
• Verify designs using calculations and functional specifications.
• Provide manufacturing drawings and BOMs, archive in RPDM.
• Contribute to protecting ARABELLE technology IP through innovations.
• Collaborate with program management for legacy model development.
• Standardize legacy models by reducing variant count.
• Archive technical documentation using official tools.
• Support plants involved in manufacturing components in France and abroad.
• Drive cost reduction and performance improvement programs.
• Comply with the company’s EHS rules.

In this context, the Low Pressure (LP) modules group develops low-pressure equipment.As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your mission is to design and adapt steam turbine components and to support their manufacturing and assembly in a fast-growing and rapidly changing environment. You will work on world-class nuclear steam turbines, which are benchmark equipment in the industry in terms of performance, availability, and power, and you will play a central role in mechanical engineering performance. * Ensure the application of internal design rules for components* Verify designs using calculations and functional specifications* Provide manufacturing drawings for components* Prepare parts lists (BOMs) and archive them in the official database (RPDM)* Contribute to protecting ARABELLE technology intellectual property by generating patentable innovations* Work in coordination with program management for the development of legacy models* Standardize legacy models by limiting the number of variants* Use official tools to archive all technical documentation* Provide support to the various plants involved in manufacturing these components (in France and abroad)* Continuously improve products by incorporating feedback (from factories and sites) as well as cost reduction or performance improvement programs (Cost Excellence)* Comply with the company’s EHS rules **Candidate Profile****Education**Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.**Experience*** Engineer with at least 2–3 years of experience in a mechanical design environment (energy, oil & gas, aerospace, special-purpose machinery)* Knowledge of standard mechanical construction components (plates, tubes, bolts, flanges, etc.)* Proficiency in Catia V5 software* Ability to read technical drawings* Functional analysis and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)* General knowledge of standard manufacturing processes (welding, casting, forging, turning, milling, etc.)* General knowledge of materials and their selection* Proficiency with common IT tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook* Experience with PLM software: Enovia (preferred)**Language Skills*** English: Fluent (spoken, listening comprehension, reading, and writing)Join us and work with global teams to support global customers !
