Job summary

WSP India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - HVAC for our Bengaluru office to deliver detailed engineering designs and construction drawings for US projects.

You will work on duct and piping design, perform load calculations with HAP/TRACE 700, and model in Revit MEP and AutoCAD on live projects. Hydronic systems, equipment sizing, submittal reviews, and RFIs respond will be part of your duties across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineer with 4-7 years of HVAC design experience.
• Hands-on in ducting and piping design.
• Experience with live project modelling in BIM environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and size duct and piping systems for HVAC projects.
• Perform load calculations using Carrier HAP and TRACE 700.
• Model in REVIT MEP and AutoCAD on live projects without BIM support.
• Develop air and water flow diagrams for systems.
• Work with hydronic chilled water and hot water piping.
• Select and size basic HVAC equipment.
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Support multiple projects and cross-regional needs.

Job description

To work as a part of our Building Services team for WSP India GCC to provide Engineering Design and BIM support for US projects. The successful candidate’s role will be as Engineer – Mechanical in our Bengaluru office producing detailed engineering designs and construction drawings. USA project experience is required, who preferably worked on health care, residential, data center and commercial projects. You can expect to be active on multiple projects at any given time and may help cross regions for other offices like ME, Canada, etc depending on the need.

Responsibilities

• Candidate should be good in duct and pipe design.
• Load calculation through Carrier- HAP, Trane-TRACE
• Good experience on Revit & AutoCAD. He or she should be able to do modelling in live projects without any help from BIM person.
• Development of Air flow & Water flow diagram.
• Experience with hydronic chilled water & hot water piping systems.
• Ability to select and size basic HVAC equipment.
• Ability to review submittals and respond to RFIs
• Flexible enough to switch projects and support team.
