Nabhdrishti Aerospace is seeking Aerothermal Engineers / Lead Engineers to join our deep‑tech team in Bengaluru. You will contribute to the aerothermal design, analysis, and verification of compressors, combustors, and turbines, using tools like ANSYS CFX/Fluent and STAR-CCM+.
The role involves 1D/2D flowpath design, 3D blade design, CFD optimization, and collaboration with manufacturing and testing teams as we build India's first fuel‑flex micro gas turbine for aviation and power generation.
Nabhdrishti Aerospace is a deep-tech aerospace company developing indigenous micro gas turbine engines and propulsion systems for aviation and defence applications. We are building complex, high-performance products from the ground up, with a mission to create globally competitive aerospace propulsion technology from India.
As we move from product development and testing towards commercialization, industrialization, and scaling our product line, we are looking for Aerothermal Engineers / Lead Engineers for multiple positions across the aerothermal design, analysis, and verification of compressors, combustors, and turbines.
Conceptual design of compressor and turbine flowpath, including 1D mean-line and 2D throughflow design and analysis.
Design of blade sections and 3D blades for compressors and turbines.
Conceptual design of combustors.
Analysis and optimization of designed flowpath using 3D CFD.
Analysis of component and engine performance across the operating envelope.
Support component and engine testing across all aspects of compressor, combustor, and turbine aerodynamics; define instrumentation requirements, plan tests, and support pre- and post-test validation.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal designs that meet engine performance and life requirements.
Liaise with the supply chain team on manufacturing, production support, and part qualification.
For Lead Engineers: Mentor a team of young engineers to deliver aerothermal design, analysis, and validation of gas turbine components.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong theoretical foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and turbomachinery
0–10 years of industrial experience in the aerodynamics and/or heat transfer of turbomachinery components.
Familiarity with aerothermal design and analysis tools such as ANSYS CFX, ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or similar.
Experience in leading or mentoring a small team is a plus.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multifunctional team.
Ability to handle ambiguity and make data-driven recommendations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas concisely and logically across a wide range of topics.
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
