Your Job

Molex is looking for an experienced Indirect Sourcing Engineer to join our Global Indirect Sourcing team. As a part of this role, the Sourcing Engineer will be responsible for ongoing Indirect Sourcing activities, streamlining the procurement process and ensuring alignment with the respective BUs initiatives and goals.

Responsibilities include sourcing Indirect Categories for manufacturing sites of Molex India.

What You Will Do

  1. Execution of sourcing and buying activities for indirect categories such as Machinery, Facilities, and MRO.
  2. Lead the buying process by working with internal stakeholders to meet their business requirements.
  3. Initiate ideas and actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing activities.
  4. Review and negotiate supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with the procurement process.
  5. Seek opportunities for total cost improvement across the supply base, including vendor consolidation, volume leveraging, and commercial negotiation.
  6. Lead the KPIs pertaining to sourcing/buying roles, proposal review, and risk analysis. Competent in using different sourcing/buying tools such as bidding/auction.
  7. Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply issues, minimize risk, ensure Business Continuity Plan (BCP), and explore emerging opportunities.
  8. Drive and manage suppliers' overall performance; conduct periodic performance reviews with vendors.
  9. Collaborate with the Global/Regional Category Management team in cost-saving initiatives. Drive auction activities for saving opportunities.
  10. Drive VAVE initiatives and process optimization.
  11. Comply with purchasing/sourcing procedures, SOP, ISO procedures, and other requirements from time to time.
  12. Drive and manage special projects whenever assigned.
  13. Assist the Indirect Sourcing Center as needed on any reports or assignments/projects given.
  14. Promote PBM (Principle Based Management) culture and Molex branding in the long run.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

5+ years of experience in supply chain, preferably in Indirect Sourcing.

Procurement expertise in categories: Machinery, Facilities, and MRO.

Procurement process knowledge and costing awareness of machinery and spare parts related to engineering, molding, stamping, plating, tooling, and assembly.
