Roles and Responsibilities:
Create Finite Element models for linear and nonlinear structural analysis, both at component and assembly level.
Select suitable structural materials to meet strength, weight and other performance/ safety requirements.
Design experimental test procedures and instrumentation for validation of analytical models.
Lead aeroelastic and fatigue simulations to evaluate structural stability under dynamic loads.
Translate analysis/ test results into actionable design recommendations and risk mitigation strategies.
Plan suitable flight test instrumentation, analysis tools and carry out flight test data analysis for loads and flutter.
Generate/ review reports for summarising all project-related analysis results.
Must have skills:
At least 5 years’ experience in design of main aircraft structural components (metallic and composites), especially from aeroelastic and fatigue considerations.
Experience in static and dynamic analysis (Modal, transient, random vibration) of aircraft structures.
Experience in selection of suitable structural materials and design and manufacturing of composite parts.
Possess advanced FEA skills.
Knowledge of aeroelasticity related modelling and simulation.
Knowledge of CAD software e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks.
Awareness of airworthiness certification requirements based on analysis and testing.
