Job summary

Anaplan in Gurgaon, India seeks a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to lead administration, development, and integration on the ServiceNow platform. You will drive automation, data hygiene, and reliability while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires strong knowledge of ITSM/ITAM/CSM/ITOM modules, REST/SOAP APIs, and certifications, with mentoring responsibilities and a focus on continuous improvement. This on‑site position is based in Gurgaon, India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with ITSM, ITAM/HAM/SAM, CSM, ITOM on ServiceNow.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integrations.
• ServiceNow Certifications: Application Developer, CSA.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily administration of the ServiceNow platform, including routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
• Develop reliable and scalable applications, workflows, and automation to streamline processes and enforce data hygiene.
• Implement and manage integrations with third‑party systems.
• Improve development capabilities to accelerate demand delivery while maintaining quality and experience.
• Maintain instance health by following ServiceNow best practices and leveraging OOTB features.
• Promote continuous improvement and platform performance optimization strategies.
• Ensure rapid but controlled adoption of upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
• Create reports and dashboards as needed.
• Build and maintain technical design and configuration documentation.
• Provide mentoring through example and knowledge sharing.

What you'll do:

• Manage daily administration of the ServiceNow platform, includes routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
• Develop reliable and scalable applications, workflows, and overall automation, streamlining processes, improving experience, enhancing productivity, and enforcing data hygiene.
• Implement and manage integrations with third‑party systems.
• Improve development capabilities, when possible, to accelerate demand delivery while not compromising quality and experience.
• Apply thought leadership to understand dependencies, maintain security, and ensure performance and stability.
• Maintain instance health by adhering to and carrying out ServiceNow best practices through configuration and development, leveraging OOTB features, capabilities, and configurations wherever possible.
• Promote continuous improvement and implement platform performance optimization strategies to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Maintain compliance and strive for swift controlled adoption of platform upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
• Implement reports and dashboards as needed
• Build and maintain technical design and configuration documentation.
• Provide mentoring through example and knowledge sharing.

What you'll have:

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills

• Experience in REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience in Virtual Agent and Gen AI capabilities.
• Experience with ServiceNow Platform Products: ITSM, ITAM/HAM/SAM, CSM, ITOM
• Experience with Scoped/Custom Applications, Integration Hub, and Flow Designer.
• Experience planning and executing ServiceNow Platform upgrades and cloning.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields or equivalent professional experience.
• ServiceNow Certifications (on latest supported version): Application Developer, Certified System Administrator
