We are looking for an Engineer II Quality Assurance with strong Airline / Travel Technology domain experience to join our QA team.
The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in testing airline applications, airline reservation systems, GDS, NDC, or other travel technology platforms, along with strong expertise in API testing, automation, functional testing, regression testing and performance testing.
You will be responsible for designing, executing and automating test cases, validating functional and non-functional requirements, analyzing test results, troubleshooting defects and working closely with Development, Product and other cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities -
- Design, develop and execute test cases, test scenarios and test plans for airline/travel technology applications.
- Create and execute automated API test scripts using SOAP UI / ReadyAPI.
- Perform API testing using SOAP UI, ReadyAPI and Postman.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, security and performance testing.
- Test GUI and non-GUI/API-based applications and services.
- Execute performance testing including Load, Stress, Endurance and Capacity testing.
- Capture, analyze and report performance test metrics and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Validate XML-based interfaces, messages and system integrations.
- Work on testing of airline reservation, booking, ticketing, PNR, fares, availability, NDC, GDS or other airline/travel-related systems.
- Participate in defect troubleshooting with Development, Product and other technical teams to drive root-cause identification and resolution.
- Coordinate testing activities with Development and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, defects and dependencies.
- Organize testing status meetings and prepare daily/weekly QA status reports.
- Contribute towards improving test automation, QA processes, test coverage and overall product quality.
Required Skills & Experience-
- Strong hands‑on experience in Airline / Travel Technology domain is mandatory.
- Prior experience working with Airline Reservation Systems, GDS, NDC or airline/travel platforms is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in Software Quality Assurance and Software Testing.
- Hands‑on experience in API testing using SOAP UI / ReadyAPI / Postman.
- Experience in automation testing and writing automated test scripts.
- Programming/scripting experience in Java, C#, Groovy or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Good experience in functional, integration, regression and system testing.
- Practical experience working with XML-based systems, XML messages and XML validation/tools.
- Exposure to performance testing and performance analysis.
- Good understanding of defect management, root-cause analysis and QA processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
