Job summary

TechnipFMC in Hyderabad seeks an analysis engineer to perform FEA on subsea production systems and surface equipment. The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience and strong Ansys expertise to analyze designs for functionality and manufacturability.

You'll review specifications, generate technical documents, and participate in design reviews while ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to HSE & quality policies. This position is based in Hyderabad.

Qualifications

• BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, is required.
• 2–3 years of relevant oil/gas subsea/surface equipment analysis experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Ansys is mandatory for FEA work and verification.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO design codes is beneficial.
• Ability to verify FEA results with classical hand calculations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specs and industry codes to support analysis work.
• Create and review technical documents, reports, and design analyses.
• Perform FEA using Ansys and provide design recommendations.
• Contribute to design reviews and advise on piping/jumper/flowline analysis.
• Develop solutions from data interpretation and ensure deliverables meet schedule.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and TechnipFMC quality policies and SAP time-entry.

Job Purpose

This is analysis engineer role and is based in Hyderabad. The role requires to perform FEA analysis of subsea production system and Surface Equipment products. Analyst creates, reviews and analyzes designs to ensure compliance to technical specifications, functionality and constructability.

Job Description

• Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
• Creates and reviews technical documents (specifications, drawings, design documents, analysis reports etc.) for existing or new technology or applications.
• Uses sound engineering judgment, classical calculations and analysis programs to analyze designs and generate new designs.
• Participates in design reviews and provides specialist piping, jumper or flowline design advice to other engineers.
• Provides recommendations for optimizing designs to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
• Independently develops solutions to problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating data. Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative actions.
• Responsible for quality and on-time-delivery of assigned tasks
• Ensure good personal time management and weekly time entry into SAP system
• Provide input to and support improvements to processes or work instructions
• Ensures that assignments conform to TechnipFMC guidelines and specifications.
• Understand and comply with TechnipFMC HSE & Quality policies

You are meant for this job if:

• BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
• Around 2-3 years of relevant industry experience with background in analyzing subsea/surface equipment preferred
• Ansystool knowledge is must
• Knowledge of industry specific design codes like ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO
• Experience in Oil and Gas equipment finite element analysis
• Should be able to do hands-on Finite Element analysis
• Experience in high pressurized equipment/Boiler vessels/Heavy Engineering
• Must be able to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods
• Proficient in Non-Linear analysis
• Proficient in Structural and Thermal analysis
• Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis
• Must be able to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods
• Must be able to work hands-on and guide team members
• Must be able to estimate, plan and meet individual work requirements
• Should be able to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements
• Must be able to participate in technical review meetings and discussions
• Must be able to write, review and approve technical reports and documents
