Job summary

TechnipFMC in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Analysis Engineer to perform FEA on subsea and surface equipment. You will review specifications, develop and verify designs, and mentor junior analysts while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The role requires hands-on FEA with Ansys/Abaqus, familiarity with ASME/API/DNV/ISO codes, and strong capability in nonlinear, structural and thermal analyses. This position focuses on reliable, safe design in demanding oil & gas environments.

Qualifications

• BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience with subsea/surface equipment background
• Ansys or Abaqus tool knowledge is a must
• Knowledge of ASME, API, DNV, NORSK, ISO codes
• Experience in Oil and Gas equipment finite element analysis
• Hands-on Finite Element analysis capabilities
• Experience with high pressure equipment/boiler vessels/Heavy Engineering
• Ability to verify FEA results with classical hand calculations
• Proficient in nonlinear, structural and thermal analyses
• Experience with welded and bolted structures
• Ability to guide and mentor a team of analysts
• Ability to estimate, plan and meet work requirements
• Participate in technical design reviews and meetings
• Write, review and approve technical reports and documents
• Capture lessons learnt and best practices into analysis techniques

Responsibilities

This is analysis engineer role and is based in Hyderabad. The role requires to perform FEA analysis of subsea production system and Surface Equipment products. Analyst creates, reviews and analyzes designs to ensure compliance to technical specifications, functionality and constructability.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

• Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
• Creates and reviews technical documents (specifications, drawings, design documents, analysis reports etc.) for existing or new technology or applications.
• Uses sound engineering judgment, classical calculations and analysis programs to analyze designs and generate new designs.
• Participates in design reviews and provides specialist piping, jumper or flowline design advice to other engineers.
• Provides recommendations for optimizing designs to ensure functionality and manufacturability
• Independently develops solutions to problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating data. Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative actions.

You are meant for this job if:

• Ansys or Abaqus tool knowledge is must
• Knowledge of industry specific design codes like ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO
