Job summary

Vertiv seeks an Electrical Engineer to design electrical parts for thermal products and to support New Product Development and sustaining programs. The role interfaces with global and local teams, including Supply Chain and Quality, to guide electrical design from concept through production.

You will collaborate with Mech, firmware, system test, and manufacturing teams across locations, ensuring designs meet safety and reliability goals while supporting manufacturing tests and serviceability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience with electrical panel development for thermal products.
• Experience with ELCAD/Creo schematics or similar tools.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs control system and low voltage electrical enclosures
• Support electrical design for new product development
• Creating and maintain components in the design tools
• Working with contract resources and/or manufacturers for prototype/production builds
• Develop test case for electrical safety test of product
• Coordinate CE / UL testing of product and knowledge of IEC/NEC standards
• Collaborates with other groups, including Mech Engineers, firmware & software developers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.
• Proficient in Creo schematics and 3-D cable routing
• Should have sound knowledge in NPDI process and its deliverables. Should work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

TheElectrical Engineeris responsible for designing electrical part for Thermal product. Requirements

• Good knowledge on working with DC / AC Power Supply, mainly, 24V – 48VDC / 400V – 3PH – 50Hz / 460V-3Ph-60Hz


• 3-7 years of experience in an Electrical panel development for thermal products role.


• 3-7 years of experience using Electrical panel Life cycle management or Product documentation management tools.


• Fluency in English.


• Proficiency in writing functional requirements and documenting designs.


• Experience with ELCAD/Creo schematic or similar tools.


• Experience with VMM, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools.


• Ability to execute on schedules for hardware board development lifecycles.


• Ability to debug, validate, and develop/support manufacturing tests on board level products.


• Experience in design for serviceability, manufacturability.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
