Job Description
The successful candidate’s role will be as an engineering designer within the GCC Development team in our Noida/Bengaluru/Mumbai office, producing detailed highway and drainage engineering designs and construction drawings.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate is likely to be a Professional or near-Professional engineer having at least 4 years of post‑graduate similar work experience in core highway design.
- Ensure technical delivery of highway projects to budget, quality and programme constraints for the US and/or international market.
- Familiarity with US highway and UK highway standards is desirable.
- Proficiency in Open Roads, Inroads, In Roads, and/or Geopak, Civil 3D or similar design software.
- Applied knowledge of AASHTO, DMRB, MUTCD and FHWA standards, specifications and guidelines.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Cultural awareness, an open mind and excellent English communication skills.
- Experience using 3‑dimensional highway design software such as Open Roads, In‑Roads or Geopak.
- Liaise with WSP’s US‑based lead design teams to ensure project delivery to agreed schedule, quality and budget constraints, and work with local team leaders to manage resources and workload effectively.
The role may include short‑term secondment and/or visits to WSP’s US offices for better understanding of WSP’s business and to assist with acclimatization to WSP methods of working.

Qualifications
- Master of Science (preferably in engineering) or bachelor’s degree in Civil / Transportation Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years’ working experience on infrastructure projects and detailed design of highways.
- Civil engineering background.
- Experience working with diverse cultures.
