KONE is seeking an Engineer to support CAD automation and engineering applications for the FLCAD platform. You will develop AutoLISP programs, customize AutoCAD, and generate GA drawings to automate engineering tasks.

We are looking for an Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and support of engineering applications for the FLCAD platform. The role focuses on CAD automation, AutoCAD customization, General Arrangement (GA) Drawing generation, application support, and continuous improvement of the FLCAD platform to enhance productivity and ensure high-quality engineering deliverables.
Develop and maintain AutoLISP programs in AutoCAD applications for the FLCAD platform. Customise AutoCAD to support engineering design and drawing automation. Develop and maintain General Arrangement (GA) drawing generation based on engineering rules and product configurations. Create dynamic blocks for Elevator and Escalator products. Analyse engineering requirements and implement automation solutions to the FLCAD Platform. Perform application development, debugging, testing, and maintenance activities. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical support. Execute functional and regression testing for engineering application releases. Support new product features and engineering changes. Collaborate with Product Engineering, Variant Management, and global engineering teams to deliver harmonised engineering solutions. Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and release notes.
Strong knowledge of AutoLISP / Visual LISP, DCL. Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Creo. Basic knowledge of C# and .NET. Understanding of CAD customisation and engineering drawing automation. Knowledge of XML and engineering data processing. Familiarity with GitHub or SVN version control. Strong debugging and analytical skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
Knowledge of AutoLISP / Visual LISP, DCL, AutoCAD .NET APIs. Understanding of engineering workflows and product configuration. Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adopt new technologies.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline. 3+ years of Relevant experience. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment. Attention to quality, engineering standards, and continuous improvement.
