Nestlé seeks a skilled maintenance and reliability specialist to drive uptime across packaging and process lines in Goa. You will lead preventive maintenance, manage budgets and spares, and ensure adherence to Nestlé safety and quality standards.

• Maintain high operational performance and process capability of lines.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities including CIP/shutdowns.
• Establish maintenance strategy to ensure line/plant availability and optimum asset use.
• Ensure product and process compliance with Nestlé policies and legal requirements.
• Promote safety, health and environment; communicate requirements to all team members.
• Coach technicians and operators in preventive maintenance and factory CDM integration.
• Measure line performance via available systems and manage maintenance budget and spares.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain filling/packing and process machinery as core responsibilities.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget with preventive mindset.
• Manage spares, planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
• Oversee engineering contracts and people management of internal/external teams.
• Apply problem solving techniques (GSTD, DMAIC) for root cause investigation.
• Support installation of new equipment and run tests for mass production readiness.
• Ensure equipment history, damage codes and root cause analyses are properly recorded.

Main Responsibilities / Job Summary

1. Product manufacture

Ensure the achievement of department objectives and monitor product cost, quality, and timeliness as per production / delivery plan.

Ensure all production / filling-packing lines have high operational performance and process capability to deliver products as per established standards.

Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities viz. routine, periodic maintenance and CIP / shutdown activities.

Establish and implement a maintenance strategy and schedule supported by all functions thereby ensuring availability of lines / plant (production and infrastructure) to ensure optimum utilisation of assets and resources.

2. Compliance

Ensure product and process compliance in line with Nestl policies, standards and legal requirements.

Ensure work place safety and effective communication of Safety, Health and Environment to all team members.

Conduct inspection / audits and investigate incidents to close gaps.

Ensure good and hygienic engineering practices are applied at all times.

3. Maintenance integration

Coach / train, with related parties, the technicians and operators in preventive / routine maintenance activities and machinery operations.Ensure that CDM is fully integrated with factory operations and all operators / technicians understand and practice CDM.

4. Data management / Systems

Measure, analyse and improve line performance by using available systems / tools (AMM etc.)

Measure, analyse and control maintenance &I budget and spare parts inventory by using available system / tools (NEE).Contribute to establishing energy and line standards.

5. Continuous Improvement

Review process failures and execute continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities, accessing proposals and timely implementation.

Support projects (team) by setting up / installation of new equipment, test run and ensuring readiness for mass production. Wherever required, participate in standard audits (HACCP, FSMS, GMP etc.)

Ensure that the equipment history, damage code and root cause analysis are completed correctly.

6. Knowledge management and people development

Coach and mentor, the members of team to increase productivity and efficiency by participating in daily meetings, reviewing actions.

Train the team on safety and environmental requirements and procedures.

Review and feedback to direct reports of their performance against their principal accountabilities and behavioural competencies so as to continually improve individual and team operational and/or technical capability in line with site skills and behavioural requirements.

Communicate information flows from the management to the direct reportees and vice versa.

7. Area of responsibility

a. Maintenance of filling & packing machines as core responsibility along with process machinery.

b. Maintenance budget preparation & day to day management with strong tracking with preventive mindset

c. Spares parts management for the plant, Maintenance planning & scheduling

d. Engineering contractual management including development & Day to day people management of internal & external

e. Problem solving techniques (GSTD, BDA, DMAIC etc,)

f. Project management skills will be an added advantage

g. Exposure to primary packing (horizontal flow wrapper, vertical form fills sealing machine, can/Jar filling machines, product auto feeding system into the flow wrappers), secondary packing (auto case packing, top loading, or front loading, COBOT or Robo based auto pick & place machines into grey boxes or shippers)

h. Knowledge on various type coding: Contact, Inkjet, Laser coders from reputed vendors like DOMINO, IMAJE, VIDEOJET etc.
