Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in India is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Engineer to own the performance and reliability of MOL production lines, lead troubleshooting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with Process, Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and Maintenance teams to support NPI, qualifications, and equipment upgrades while coaching technicians and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance and reliability in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Own overall equipment performance, reliability, and availability for MOL production lines.
• Lead troubleshooting and recovery activities for equipment and automation issues.
• Analyze downtime trends and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Improve equipment OEE, MTBF, and MTTR performance.
• Support and optimize changeover and preventive maintenance programs.
• Lead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Support production startup, changeovers, and first-board qualifications.
• Drive TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Process, Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and Maintenance teams.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), engineering builds, and qualification activities.
• Evaluate and implement equipment modifications and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and manufacturing standards.
• Provide technical coaching and training to equipment technicians.
• Engage vendors for technical problem resolution and continuous improvement activities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in AI-enabled ways of working by leveraging AI-assisted tools, data analytics, and digital technologies to improve equipment reliability, troubleshooting effectiveness, maintenance efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
