Qualifications

• Recognized degree in engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university and specialized courses in Electrical discipline plus applicable practical work experience. Minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 to 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Performing complex engineering analyses and developing complex deliverables within discipline
• Applying standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating
• Understanding standard contract requirements and scope as they relate to discipline work
• Leading a group of engineers and/or designers within the discipline
• In-depth knowledge of specific standards
• Familiarity with all WSP design guides and standards relevant to discipline

Key Competencies / Skills

• Preparing and reviewing substation documentations
• Experienced with schematic drawings and identify or locate mistakes, problem solving and conflict resolution
• Proven technical report generation, communication, customer interface skills multi priority and multi-tasking
• Experienced with Calculations (CT/VT adequacy calculations, LV systems sizing and coordination studies, generator sizing, Battery and chargers sizing, LV cable sizing and voltage drop)
• Experience working on protection philosophies
