Barry-Wehmiller Companies Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop electrical designs, create schematics and BOMs, and participate in concept through commissioning. The role requires hands-on CAD work and knowledge of applicable standards, with collaboration across North America, Europe, and India.
The engineer will ensure accuracy, perform reviews, and contribute to safer, compliant, and cost-effective electrical solutions within a global GCC.

Engineer will be responsible for provide support and developing electrical design, drawings and Bill of Materials based on customer requirements and participate in concept, design, production, testing, safety, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting reviews with customer and internal team members.
Prepare and update schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, Panel GA/layouts, earthing/grounding layouts and cable routing drawings. Develop cable termination diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and cable schedules. Produce BOMs, equipment layouts, load lists, and datasheets, ensuring correct part numbers and quantities. Maintain drawing quality, revision control, and CAD standards. Support design reviews and design clarifications. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (e.g., UL508A, IEC, NEMA, British (BS), European, IS, NEC IEEE and other standards) and internal design guides. Apply best practices in earthing, circuit protection, segregation and safety. Collaborate within a global team of engineers from North America, Budapest, and India. Conduct self‑checks and peer reviews of drawings and documents. Capture lessons learned and help improve templates, libraries, and CAD standards.
Experience in calculation and selection of AC Load calculations, low and medium voltage switchgear systems, including related protective devices and relays, cables, electrical components, field devices and associated accessories based upon application & design standards. Experience in handling low and medium voltage motor control systems (MCC) knowledge in preparation of single and three‑line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, and P&IDs based upon technical specifications and requirements of customer. Knowledge of materials, components and equipment used in all aspects of electrical installations knowledge in electrical safety practices and procedures including NFPA79 knowledge of UL508A, IEC, NEMA and other standards knowledge Safety Interlocks & safety switches knowledge in AutoCAD Electrical and Zuken E3, including creating symbols, creating Library and Detailing drawings.
