Job summary

GE Vernova Consulting in Noida, India, is seeking Engineering Professionals to join the FACTS Solution Line. The role focuses on control software for STATCOM/FACTS with strong hands-on experience in PSCAD, PSSE, MATLAB/Simulink and RTDS for modelling, validation and real-time testing.

You will report to the Engineering Manager - Control Software, Noida, and work on international high-profile projects with hybrid workFlexibility.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in Substation/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• Minimum 2 years of experience specifically in STATCOM/FACTS/HVDC projects.
• Experience in utility-scale grid integration and EHV substations preferred.
• B Tech /M Tech degree in Electrical Engineering preferably in Power System.
• Strong prioritizing and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
• Effective communication with global teams.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Desire to work in international environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control algorithms for STATCOM and FACTS applications.
• Perform power system studies and dynamic simulations using PSCAD, MATLAB Simulink, etc.
• Develop, validate and optimize control functions including voltage, reactive power and current control and fault ride through.
• Build and maintain RMS and EMT simulation models for control design and validation.
• Support Factory Acceptance Test, Site Commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, simulation reports, control philosophy, and software release documents.
• Provide technical support during customer discussions and project execution.
• Collaborate with System Design, Control Hardware, Protection, SCADA and commissioning teams.
• Experience on STATCOM control system architecture and hardware specifications will be added advantage.

We are looking for Engineering Professionals to join the FACTS Solution Line team. The position will be based in Noida, India with hybrid working flexibility. You will be working on cutting edge technology and varied international high-profile projects. In this position, you will be reporting to Engineering Manager - Control Software , Noida office and it can be considered a top priority position to perform in a critical engineering discipline for overall FACTS business.
