Jacobs Engineering Group in Bengaluru, India seeks a Senior BIM Engineer/Technician to lead 3D modeling for buildings, steel and RCC, using Revit and related tools. The role requires coordinating with multi-discipline teams and delivering quality design outputs with strong technical governance.

You'll work with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, ETABS and Tekla/Tedds as needed, manage multiple projects, and liaise with clients. Jacobs offers a hybrid working policy to balance office and remote work.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a BIM Engineer/Technician with 3D modeling in Revit for buildings (steel and RCC).
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus; strong BIM standards knowledge.

About the Opportunity

• Responsible for contributing in a senior role to the efficient and compliant delivery of all civil and structural engineering design on the project, working with and reporting to the Lead Engineer.
• Responsible for ensuring a quality technical design delivery output, technical governance and quality and coordination and interface within a multi discipline project team
• Responsible for day-to-day engineering design support, client liaisons in relation to day-to-day structural engineering issues with taking design responsibility for parts of the structural design works on the project.

Here's what you'll need

About You

• Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or another relevant Engineering Discipline.
• Proven experience as an BIM Engineer/Technician, with specific expertise in 3D modeling of buildings (both steel and RCC) using Revit software.
• Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling in Revit with knowledge in latest BIM standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with engineering principles and construction practices.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
• Experience in Analysis Software’s like STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, ROBOT, TEKLA TEDDS preferred.
• Experience within civil discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects e.g. Power, Water, Transportation and Buildings will be an added advantage.
• Experience in preparing Design calculations and Detailed Design Reports essential.
• Experience in preparing Detailed drawings. (AutoCAD or MicroStation) preferred but not essential.
• Experience of working for UK clients and in particular NG and other network operators will be an added advantage.
