THE ROLE
- Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation systems across manufacturing operations
- Integration of 6 axis robot cells, cobot integration, PLC-based control systems, and SpecialPurpose Machines
- Acts as the technical link between production requirements and automation solutions on theshop floor.
- Plays a key role in scaling automation across new and existing production lines to improvethroughput and reduce manual intervention
- Partners with vendors and OEMs during equipment procurement, installation, andcommissioning
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems for production equipment
- Integrate and program industrial robots and cobots for pick-and-place, welding, assembly, ormaterial handling applications
- Support design, development, and commissioning of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs)
- Troubleshoot automation systems (electrical, mechanical, and software) to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to improve line efficiency and OEE
- Prepare and maintain documentation — control logic, wiring diagrams, SOPs, and change records
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on automation upgrades and cost reduction
- Ensure automation systems comply with safety standards and guidelines
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing automation
- Hands‑on experience with industrial robots and cobots (e.g., ABB, FANUC, KUKA, UniversalRobots)
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar)
- Experience in SPM design/development or working closely with SPM builders
- Understanding of electrical panel design, sensors, actuators, and HMI/SCADA systems
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on, shop‑floor approach
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related experience in this field.
- Good communication skills to coordinate across cross‑functional teams
