The Solutions Engineer sits within the Transform the Business pillar of Quality Systems and serves as the technical execution engine of the AI Process Intelligence team. This role operates at the intersection of process intelligence, automation engineering, and enterprise system integration—building production-ready AI agents, predictive models, and intelligent workflows that solve real operational pain points across Micron's Quality Management System.
The Solutions Engineer works hand-in-hand with Process Architects (who design and optimize the business processes) to ensure that solutions are architecturally sound, automation-ready, and aligned with Micron's AI governance framework.
Ability to design, train, test, and iterate AI agents for quality and process use cases
Design and implement end-to-end automation workflows that reduce manual effort
Connect AI tools with enterprise platforms via APIs and data connectors
Work in iterative cycles with structured sprint planning and delivery
Diagnose and resolve issues with deployed AI/automation systems
Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Manage solution development lifecycle using Agile/project management principles
Builds effective working relationships across diverse teams; able to facilitate discussions, workshops, and alignment sessions with varied stakeholders
Assembles, analyzes, and evaluates data to provide clear, well-reasoned recommendations and decisions that support business stakeholders
Operates independently with strong ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and drive day-to-day activities without close supervision
Demonstrates strong organizational discipline and meticulous attention to detail across documentation, project tracking, and solution delivery
Responds positively to constructive feedback and applies it to continuously improve both personal performance and solution quality
3–5 years of experience in software/AI engineering, automation, or data science. Demonstrated ability to independently deliver AI/automation solutions. Experience integrating solutions with enterprise systems.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
Master's Degree in Computer Science, AI/Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or equivalent advanced technical discipline
Equivalent practical experience (5+ years) in AI engineering, automation development, or enterprise system integration may be considered in lieu of formal degree requirements
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Agile certification
