Job summary

Arcadis is the world’s leading design, engineering, and consultancy firm delivering sustainable solutions for natural and built assets. We seek a Civil drainage design engineer with UK project exposure to join our team in India.

You will lead end-to-end highway drainage design, utilize Civil 3D and related drainage software, and contribute to international Infrastructure projects while collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Civil Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) or Post Graduation in Water Resource/Environment.
• 4–6 years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment.
• Strong understanding of DMRB codes.
• Proficiency in drainage design software such as Micro Drainage/Info Drainage/StormCAD/12D.
• Experience with BIM tools: Civil 3D, AutoCAD; MX/InfraWorks/Navisworks advantageous.
• Delivered at least one major project for the UK Lead region, in an assistant lead role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end highway drainage design and project delivery.
• Prepare/finalize highway drawings at various project stages.
• Compute quantities for design portions.
• Prepare design basis reports and documentation.
• Interpret existing condition reports and surveys.
• Work on 3–4 overseas design projects, preferably UK, and align with DBRB standards.

Role description:

• Good understanding and Knowledge on international codes like DMRB, AASHTO, and Euro codes along with various other International Code Practices and Standards, Design Standards of Local County Councils
• Highway Drainage Design experience using Civil 3D and good expertise in 3D modelling for proposals and Detail design projects.
• Roadway Drainage Design for various stages of Design Build Projects – Detailed design of Roadway corridor, Detailed drawings, construction support-drawings, Design Reviews, Project Management, Design Management.
• Experience in MS Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Role accountabilities:

• Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Highway Drainage related tasks.
• Preparation / Finalization of various highway related drawings at various stages of projects.
• Computation of quantities.
• Preparation of design basis reports.
• Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
• Should have handled minimum of 3-4 Design projects-overseas preferably for UK in Infrastructure Business.
• Should have worked for UK Projects and must be conversant with DBRB specifications and standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education - Graduation - B.Tech/B.E. – Civil or Post Graduation – Water resource/ Environment or Civil.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment
• Strong understanding of DMRB codes
• Design Software – Drainage design software like Micro Drainage/Info Drainage/Storm Cad/12D or other relevant drainage design software’s
• BIM Software – Civil 3D and AutoCAD. MX, Infraworks and Navisworks would be added advantage.
• Delivered at least one major project for the UK Lead region in an Assistant lead role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), including technical report writing.
• Organized and proactive (self- starter).
