• Be the strategist and technical advisor to architects and technology leaders of Akamai's Premium customers.
• Partner with Sales and pre-sales to expand adoption of Akamai products and services.
• Maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and growth based on customer needs and business requirements.
• Be the central point of contact for the customer and lead account team to deliver success.
• Respond to escalations and identify improvements to mitigate future risks.
• Act as customer champion internally, influencing decisions to improve outcomes.

As an Engagement Manager II, you will be responsible for:

• Being the strategist and technical advisor to architects and technology leaders of Akamais Premium customers
• Partnering with Sales and pre-sales to make recommendations that expand adoption of Akamais products and services
• Maximizing customer satisfaction, retention, and growth based on the customers needs and business requirements
• Being the central point of contact for the customer and lead account team to deliver customer success
• Responding to escalations when various product, platform or implementation arise and identifying improvements to mitigate future risks
• Being the customer champion internally, and influencing internal decisions within teams to help customer outcomes

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 6 to 8 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in computer science/Engineering or relevant fields.
• Be a customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
• Have knowledge of internet technologies and online industry including HTTPS, DNS, DevOps, Web Development and Web Security
• Demonstrate good understanding or prior experience of working with CDNs
• Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role within the Information Technology industry
• Demonstrate communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers across various levels
• Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment
• Demonstrate experience in Program or Project management in a cross functional and technical team
