Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking an experienced QA leader for the Alpha Data Platform (ADP). You will act as a functional SME, coordinating multi-user concurrency tests and guiding QA across environments, data, interfaces, and deployments.

The role connects product, engineering, QA, release management, and SaaS operations to expose quality issues early and drive fast resolutions. Qualifications include 12+ years in QA, leadership across teams, and experience with cloud-native data platforms

Qualifications

• Experience defining test strategies, test plans, tests cases, smoke tests, and release readiness criteria.
• Strong analytical skills to identify gaps in test coverage, environment readiness, data availability, and deployment procedures.
• Hands-on troubleshooting mindset; ability to investigate failures, gather evidence, and drive resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to create clear playbooks and defect summaries.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, Snowflake, ETL pipelines, APIs, and financial data workflows.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, defect lifecycle management, and audit-friendly test evidence.
• Coordinate testing across product development, engineering, QA, SaaS operations and support.
• Familiarity with test data management and environment refresh processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a functional SME for ADP quality, including core platform workflows and release validation expectations.
• Translate requirements into QA strategies, playbooks, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify gaps that may block reliable release/testing and drive remediation with owners.
• Plan and coordinate multi-user concurrency testing events against shared release objectives.
• Define multi-user testing scope, entry criteria, participant model, and exit criteria.
• Support QA teams encountering blockers related to access, environments, or deployments.
• Partner with SaaS E2E Operations, engineering, product, and QA to diagnose failures across configurations and deployment boundaries.
• Help define and maintain standard QA playbooks, smoke tests, regression scenarios, and troubleshooting runbooks.
• Improve repeatability by standardizing environment assumptions and documenting dependencies.
• Understand ADP interactions with cloud services, data platforms, and deployment pipelines.

Job description

This role is intended for a hands-on QA leader who can operate as a functional subject matter expert for our Alpha Data Platform (ADP). This candidate will coordinate multi-user concurrency tests, strengthen day-to-day quality support across environments, data, interfaces, deployments, and end-to-end workflows. The ideal candidate will bridge product, engineering, QA, release management, and SaaS operations to make quality issues visible early and drive them to resolution quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a functional subject matter expert for ADP quality, including core platform workflows, data movement, interface behavior, environment dependencies, and release validation expectations.
• Translate product, engineering, and operational requirements into practical QA strategies, playbooks, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify functional and environmental gaps that may prevent reliable release testing, integration testing, or production readiness, and drive timely remediation with the appropriate owners.
• Plan and coordinate ADP multi-user, concurrency-based testing events where multiple groups execute QA playbooks at the same time against shared release objectives.
• Define the multi-user concurrency testing scope, entry criteria, participant model, environment readiness checklist, playbook assignments, timing, defect triage process and exit criteria.
• Support QA teams across the organization when they encounter blockers related to system access, data access, environment configuration, interface setup, deployment issues, or workflow validation.
• Partner with SaaS E2E Operations, engineering, product, and QA to diagnose failures across configuration, data, application behavior, infrastructure, and deployment boundaries.
• Help define and maintain standard QA playbooks, smoke tests, regression scenarios, workflow tests, data prerequisites, and troubleshooting runbooks for ADP and ADP-adjacent capabilities.
• Improve the repeatability of QA execution by standardizing environment assumptions, documenting known dependencies, and reducing reliance on informal knowledge.
• Understand how ADP interacts with cloud-native services, data platforms, interfaces layers, deployment pipelines, and downstream systems in production-like end-to-end environments.

Technical Environment / Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years experience in Quality Assurance.
• Extensive QA experience in enterprise software, data platforms, financial technology, SaaS platforms, or similarly complex regulated environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead functional QA activities across multiple teams, systems, environments, and release timelines.
• Experience defining test strategies, test plans, test cases, smoke tests, regression coverage, end-to-end workflow tests, and release readiness criteria.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps in test coverage, environment readiness, data availability, access setup, interface configuration, and deployment procedures.
• Hands-on troubleshooting mindset with the confidence to investigate ambiguous failures, gather evidence, isolate probable causes, and drive to rapid resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create crisp playbooks, runbooks, defect summaries, and status updates.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, data warehousing, Snowflake, ETL pipelines, data marts, APIs, batch process, or financial data workflows.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, defect lifecycle management, and audit-friendly test evidence.
• Experience coordinating testing across product development, engineering, QA, SaaS Operations, and support.
• Familiarity with test data management, client-like data sets, access grants, interface dependencies, and environment refresh or reset processes.
