Job summary

InOpTra Digital is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Verification & Validation Engineer to test control software for construction equipment ECUs. You will work with Model-Based Design teams to verify simulation models and generated code against system requirements.

You will design V&V test plans, develop traceable test cases, and execute requirements-based testing across SIL/MIL/HIL environments, using DOORS/Polarion/Jama for traceability.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of embedded verification and validation experience.
• Experience with MBSE and SysML modelling for system verification.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 basics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute V&V test plans for embedded ECU software (SIL/MIL/HIL).
• Verify Simulink/Stateflow models against requirements before code generation.
• Develop and maintain traceable test cases from SysML/MBSE models to implementation.
• Perform requirements-based and regression testing; support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure requirement-to-test traceability.

Role Summary

We are looking for an Embedded Systems Verification & Validation Engineer to test and validate control software for construction equipment ECUs (compactors, rollers, pavers). You will work closely with Model-Based Design teams to verify simulation models and generated code against system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute V&V test plans for embedded ECU software (SIL/MIL/PIL/HIL)
• Verify Simulink/Stateflow models against functional requirements before code generation
• Develop and maintain test cases traceable to SysML/MBSE system models
• Perform requirements-based testing, regression testing, and fault injection on embedded controllers
• Support HIL bench setup and automate test execution using scripts (Python/MATLAB)
• Document test results, defects, and coverage reports; support root cause analysis
• Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure requirement-to-test traceability (DOORS/Polarion/Jama)

Required Skills

• Embedded C/C++, CAN/J1939 protocols, AUTOSAR basics
• MATLAB/Simulink for MBD verification (Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop)
• Working knowledge of MBSE concepts and SysML (Cameo/Rhapsody/Enterprise Architect)
• Experience with HIL test rigs (dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or similar)
• Requirements management tools (DOORS NG, Polarion, Jama Connect)
• Understanding of V-model development and ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 basics
