Job summary

Smowcode in Mumbai is seeking firmware engineers (freshers to 3 years) to develop MCU firmware, test, and debug with ESP-IDF and other toolchains. The role emphasizes C language proficiency and IoT networking.

You will work in a startup environment with high growth, close access to leadership, and opportunities for ESOPs as the company expands its core computer industry offerings in hardware software integration.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C language and microcontroller programming.
• Experience with IoT protocols (HTTP, MQTT) desirable.
• Understanding MCU peripherals and test debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable codes and libraries for microcontrollers (ARM, AVR, Xtensa).
• Test & debug C code with external peripherals.
• Work with networking protocols and JSON for IoT devices.
• Set up toolchains like ESP-IDF, AVR-GCC.
• Debug faults in development boards (PCBs).
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Built in 2021, the Smowcode Studio is a graphical programming software that speeds up coding of electronics hardware while retaining high performance. It is a fully loaded software supporting free extensive libraries and IoT support to give coders a one‑stop solution for firmware applications. The Studio supports ESP32 board using which students and professionals can create smart hardware projects.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable codes and libraries for microcontrollers eg. ARM, AVR, Xtensa etc.
• Test & debug C language codes with various external peripherals of microcontrollers.
• Work with networking protocols and JSON to enable the internet in microcontrollers.
• Setup toolchains of microcontrollers like ESP-IDF, AVR-GCC etc.
• Debug faults in microcontroller development boards (PCBs).
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience in creating microcontroller based IoT/Automation projects.
• Keen to learn.
• Proficient in C language.
• Understanding of core programming concepts.
• In-depth knowledge of micro-controllers and its internal peripherals.
• In-depth knowledge of protocols of microcontrollers - UART, SPI, I2C etc.
• In-depth knowledge of IoT protocols - HTTP, MQTT etc.
• PCB troubleshooting skills for debugging development boards.
• Must have - Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Love to work on cutting edge technology.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.

Details

• Type - Full Time Job.
• Package - upto Rs. 7 LPA (+ ESOPs). Negotiable between 4-7LPA.
