Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in embedded software and firmware development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS such as Zypher, MQX, FreeRTOS.
• Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI communication protocols.
• Experience developing automated test suites for embedded software.
• Knowledge of electronics, PCB analysis, debugging and testing.
• Understanding of embedded software lifecycle and safety-critical or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain embedded firmware components using C/C++ based on functional and design specifications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects identified during development and testing.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing to verify functionality and quality.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts, test suites, and testing infrastructure.
• Participate in software design discussions and contribute to low-level design documentation.
• Debug software and hardware interactions using JTAG debuggers, emulators, and diagnostic tools.
• Support integration of firmware with hardware peripherals and communication interfaces.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test reports, and release notes.
• Participate in peer reviews of code, test cases, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, Architects, QA engineers, and hardware teams to deliver objectives.
• Follow established software development processes, coding standards, and quality guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in embedded software development and testing, with the ability to work closely with Technical Leads and Architects to implement software solutions based on detailed design specifications. This role requires strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills along with a commitment to delivering high-quality software in a regulated medical device environment.

Roles Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with CodeWarrior IDE, VS Code and similar embedded development environments.
• Experience working with embedded communication protocols such as CAN, I2C, and SPI.
• Knowledge of PCB components and ability to compare components and suggest alternatives.
• Knowledge of middleware, OS internals (Android, Embedded Linux) is a good add-on.
• Experience in developing and executing automated test suites and test cases for embedded software.
• Good understanding of embedded software development lifecycle and software engineering best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative development team.
