Job summary

Tekskills Inc. in Bengaluru invites a Robotics Developer to join our Embedded Software/Firmware team. The role focuses on validation and development of robotics software drivers for autonomous platforms.

You will work on ROS 2, embedded Linux, Gazebo/Ignition, and virtualization, ensuring robust test plans and reproducible environments using Docker/Podman. On-site in Bengaluru with experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux (Ubuntu LTS, Yocto) and system use-case validation for robotics platforms.
• Strong validation expertise in ROS 2 and robotics fundamentals, including navigation, motion planning, and control.
• Experience with robotics simulation tools such as Gazebo and Ignition, including simulation-driven test plan development and validation.
• Proficiency in heterogeneous compute acceleration for robotics workloads using CPU, GPU, NPU and ROCm/HIP.
• Experience validating graphics stacks (Vulkan and OpenGL) and integrating visualization into robotics apps and simulators.
• Experience with containerized robotics development and validation workflows using Docker and Podman.
• Familiarity with sensor and camera frameworks such as V4L2 and integration of robotics sensors (Camera, IMU, LiDAR).
• Exposure to virtualization in embedded or robotics environments (Xen Hypervisor) and multi-OS stacks when required.
• Understanding of requirements-to-test traceability, release qualification, and validation processes.

Role Descriptions: Each Supplier Personnel engaged in Robotics Software Driver Use Case Validation must have no less than 3 years of experience in the following technical areas:

• Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux (Ubuntu LTS, Yocto) and system use-case validation for robotics platforms.
• Strong validation expertise in ROS 2 and robotics fundamentals, including:
• Navigation
• Motion planning
• Control
• SLAM for autonomous robotic systems
• Experience with robotics simulation tools such as Gazebo and Ignition, including simulation-driven test plan development and validation.
